An Evening With Bruno Maçães: The Future of the EU

Warwick International Relations Society meets Portugal’s ex-Minister for Europe


Warwick International Relations are proud to host Bruno Maçães. Mr Maçães was the Minister for Europe in the Portuguese government from 2013 until 2015. He received his doctorate in political science from Harvard University, has taught in Seoul and Berlin and was a non-resident fellow at Carnegie in Brussels. He is a fellow at Renmin University in Beijing. His new book on Europe, Russia and China in the new world order will be published in December 2017.

Mr Maçães will be speaking about the future of the EU following Britain’s decision to withdraw from the EU, the importance of the recent national elections, the Union’s ability to survive and the EU’s role in the world in the coming years.
