Analysts 

As an Analyst, you will work for Titanthe Atlas Institute’s political risk consulting section. Titan is dedicated to the pro bono dissemination of global, regional and national macroeconomic reports, the assessment of market risk through government stability ratings, the analysis of the impact of legislative and regulatory fluctuations on investment outlooks and the monitoring of election exit polls. Our mission is to transform risk, uncertainty and challenges into certainty, security and opportunity.

Role Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and drive political risk projects to support relevant stakeholders.
  • Support the Analyst Team in developing Titan to ensure alignment between business and policy goals.
  • Support the preparation of strategic documents, plans and reporting to deliver economic, political and legislative insight.
  • Contribute regularly (weekly, biweekly or monthly) with articles on political risk, market analysis and election monitoring.

Basic Qualifications

  • You have 2/3 + years of university education or you are a recent graduate or young professional in International Relations, Politics, Law, Public Affairs, Public Administration, Economics, Business or Finance.
  • You possess evidence of proven interest in political risk, economics, business, international relations or other related fields.
  • You are fluent in English with impeccable writing and grammar skills (a writing sample will be required).
  • You have very high attention to detail and an innovative outlook on everything you do.
  • You possess the capacity to take initiative and seek responsibility.

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Past experience at delivering detailed and complex policy research to a wide range of stakeholder.
  • Familiarity with data visualization software such as Flourish – or willingness to independently learn.
  • Regional/country/thematic focus or expertise is a big advantage (if so, please mention in cover letter).
  • Past experience with publishing, particular familiarity with the WordPress interface is highly desirable.
  • Past working experiences or internships in political risk, economics, business, international affairs or other related fields.

Editors

As an Editor, you will be editing and proofing our Submissions content for one of our divisions (News, Experts, Academy, PolitiCards, Events). Each division is dedicated to the reportage of international affairs through fast, innovative and decentralized journalism. This allows the Institute to deliver strategic insight and elaborate sustainable policy solutions focusing on international relations, defense & security, regional studies, transnational phenomena, global governance and international trade & development. Specific regional concentrations include Asia-Pacific, Europe, Middle East & North Africa, North America, Russia & Eurasia, South America and Sub-Saharan Africa.

Role Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the filtering, acceptance and rejection of submissions.
  • Coordinating response to reviewers’ comments and re-submission process in a standard format.
  • Role including but not limited to publications (primary and review articles) and related materials.
  • Responsible for accurate and timely publication of material in accordance with the Institute’s standards (1-2 articles weekly).
  • Responsible for adding Authors, updating their profiles and managing the respective editorial external relations communications.

Basic Qualifications

  • You have 2/3 + years of university education or you are a recent graduate or young professional in Journalism, English, International Relations, Politics, Law, Public Affairs, Public Administration, Economics, Business or Finance.
  • You possess evidence of proven interest in political risk, economics, business, international relations or other related fields.
  • You are fluent in English with impeccable writing and grammar skills (a writing sample will be required).
  • You have very high attention to detail and an innovative outlook on everything you do.
  • You possess the capacity to take initiative and seek responsibility.

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Past editorial experience for publishing platforms, news websites and think-tanks.
  • Ability to define, implement and execute an effective content strategy for the respective division.
  • Ability to independently research and embed in articles relevant statistics, infographics and graphs.
  • Past working experiences or internships in journalism, with particular familiarity with the WordPress interface.
  • Ability to prepare high quality written material, consistent with AP and Harvard style and in line with our stakeholder’s policies and tone.

Strategic Communications Manager

As a Strategic Communications Manager, you will work to develop social strategies for the Institute. We are looking for a strategic leader, critical thinker and insight and channel expert who can help to develop compelling, cutting-edge social programs. This role will allow you to be independently responsible for all marketing campaigns and take the reins of our Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook channels.

Role Responsibilities

  • Grow and develop the digital content marketing strategy across all our social media platforms.
  • Create informational videos on recent events and happenings related to international affairs.
  • Collaborate with editorial and analyst teams to develop a digital specific content strategy.
  • Plan and execute content marketing efforts, including newsletters and SEO.
  • Produce and publish engaging web optimised content for our website.

Basic Qualifications

  • You have 2/3 + years of university education or you are a recent graduate or young professional in Marketing, Advertising, Journalism, Media Studies, English, or Communications.
  • You are familiar with Adobe Creative Suite and already use it on a frequent basis, particularly for basic photo and video editing.
  • Strong project independent management skills to organise and coordinate multiple tasks and tight deadlines.
  • You have a particular eye and taste for aesthetically pleasing social media and graphic content.
  • You possess strong writing and editing skills; meticulous grammar and spelling abilities.
  • You possess the capacity to take initiative and seek responsibility.

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience with digital tracking and analytics – Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics.
  • Past working or internship experience with social media management and marketing are highly desirable.
  • Excellent change management and influencing skills.
